Job summary

SpartanNash in Sioux Falls, SD is hiring for a warehouse lead/associate responsible for coordinating selecting, receiving, shipping and inventory functions. You will train associates and ensure shift tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

The role requires operating power industrial equipment, lifting up to 75 pounds, and maintaining safety in a multi-temperature warehouse. Weekend and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• One year warehouse/distribution experience.
• Must be certified, or willing to obtain certification, on powered industrial equipment (forklift, pallet jack, long-tongued electric pallet jack and high-lift).
• Able to perform 8–10 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Good computer skills in Excel and Word and knowledge of warehouse systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with coordinating warehouse functions such as selecting, receiving, shipping, inventory, etc. as assigned.
• Assign work to associates, review for accuracy, efficiency and safety.
• Provide on-the-job training to associates within assigned area.
• Review paperwork for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment; lift 30–75 lbs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
