Fresh From Texas is seeking a Warehouse Lead in San Antonio, TX to organize and monitor receiving, storage and distribution of items from suppliers and production shops. The role ensures smooth operations and accurate reporting for internal and external customers.

The position requires 3+ years of supervisory experience, lift equipment familiarity, and strong Excel/ERP/WMS skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a refrigerated warehouse environment.

• Graduation from accredited high school; some college desirable or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years previous supervisory experience
• 2 + years lift equipment experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Responsibilities

• Oversees receiving and inventory in the refrigerated warehouse and ensures the processes are followed effectively
• Trains and motivates warehouse and receiving associates; ensures safe operation of material handling equipment
• Assigns and maintains equipment required to accomplish the warehouse mission
• Monitors unloading and reporting; resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices and reports
• Oversees supplying of materials to fabrication and staging for assembly; rotates inventories to conserve space
• Participates in special projects and provides general support to other departments as needed

Job Overview

The Warehouse Lead, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops. Ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Job Duties

• Oversees receiving and inventory personnel in the refrigerated warehouse and ensures that the receiving and inventory management processes are followed and executed in an effective and efficient manner.
• Trains and motivates warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
• Is responsible for assigning and maintaining equipment required to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
• Monitors the unloading and / or helps unload all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Oversees the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly and sub-assembly. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives and provide general support to other departments as PPO as needed.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
