Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels with cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports on inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Maintain records of stock movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA).
  • Collaborate with production, QA, and logistics teams to meet goals.
  • Train, coach, and lead warehouse team members to meet productivity and safety goals.
  • Oversee warehouse cleanliness and organization to meet hygiene standards.
  • Operate forklift and related warehouse equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

WAREHOUSE LEAD

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Lead in a food manufacturing facility is responsible for directing the workflow for daily warehouse operations. This includes ensuring accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods in compliance with food safety standards, and inventory accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates & troubleshoots inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and identifying and resolving all discrepancies
  • Prepare reports on inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, Good Manufacturing Practices, Federal Drug Administration (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA).
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to meet operational goals.
  • Train, coach, and lead warehouse team members to meet productivity and safety goals.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to meet hygiene standards.
  • Operate forklift and other related warehouse equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:
  • Required to maneuver plant and warehouse workspaces which involve:
  • Frequently standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing,work around loud machinery and moving parts
  • Continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, continually exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, exposed to outside weather conditions, and push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds safely
