Job summary

Batesville is seeking a warehouse supervisor in Memphis to lead daily RDC operations and manage the warehouse team. You will drive efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy while coordinating with customer service and the sales team.

The role requires 5+ years in logistics supervision, lean/CI knowledge, and strong communication. This is a full‑time on‑site position offering a stable, growth‑oriented career path within Batesville.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a logistics supervisory role.
  • Ability to train and lead; LEAN/CI knowledge.
  • Intermediate computer skills; data interpretation and root-cause analysis.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day RDC operations; supervise warehouse team.
  • Schedule maintenance on RDC equipment; ensure reliability.
  • Communicate with customers and support personnel for service excellence.
  • Maintain existing customer base; align with local sales.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations and policies.
  • Maintain safety, organization, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform supervisory duties per company policies; interview/train staff.
  • Plan, assign and direct work; appraisal and issue resolution.

This position is responsible for leading the team to accomplish the daily warehouse duties.

What You’ll Do
  • Run day to day RDC operation in the most efficient manner possible, leading the warehouse team in daily activities (i.e. load/unload trucks, perform and reconcile inventory, and assist the Customer Service Center as required)
  • Monitor and schedule maintenance of all RDC equipment (roll-loaders, dock equipment, etc.)
  • Effectively communicate with customers and support personnel to provide excellent service
  • Maintain current customer base by providing excellent customer service, including building synergy with local sales force
  • Ensure adherence to governmental (DOT, OSHA, etc.) regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain high standards of safety, organization and inventory accuracy
  • Lead employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Other duties may be assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates degree preferred.
  • Skills/Experience: Ability to train/manage/lead/understand LEAN or CI principles and activities in a logistics environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to interpret data and create useful informationAbility to root cause analyze and apply appropriate countermeasures to correct anomalies
  • Basic leadership skills
  • Intermediate customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move miscellaneous equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds occasionally
  • Greater than 5 years experience in a Logistics Supervisorial Position preferred.
