Job summary

Thruway Fasteners, Inc. in Duluth, GA is seeking a Warehouse Lead to manage daily warehouse operations. The role requires operating a forklift, supervising picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting to ensure on-time, accurate customer orders.

Responsibilities include safety, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and cross-functional support when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. The position offers full-time hours and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with outgoing personality, positive attitude, attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills including listening and reading comprehension
• Team-player who is willing to help others as needed
• Read and count accurately
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Safely operate forklift and pallet jacks
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred, but not required
• PPE- Safety Gloves
• Possession of Valid Driver’s License
• Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and to climb or balance
• Regularly required to walk, stand, sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
• Occasional travel at other Thruway or customer locations may be required

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to pull and store bins in a neat and orderly manner
• Inspect and maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Receive product into internal system and verify counts against packing slips
• Pick, pack and label items to meet customer specs
• Coordinate shipping with carriers and set up in-house deliveries
• Perform quality checks to ensure orders match sizes and specifications
• Maintain 5S principles in all work areas and recycle cardboard and trash
• Conduct periodic physical inventories and support other plant operations as needed
