Job summary

Champro is a growing warehousing operation in Bannockburn, IL seeking a Warehouse Lead to guide the warehouse team, mentor staff, and support leadership development while ensuring safety and efficiency.

This role emphasizes supervision, training on processes, and collaboration with inventory and other teams to maintain accurate, timely distribution of goods, with a background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics a plus.
• Fundamental understanding of WMS Korber-Edge and ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX, plus Champro internal platforms SPA and CPA.
• Certified to operate material handling equipment: Turret Truck, Order Picker, Stand Up Reach Truck, Rider Jack, Pack Mule.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; eager to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and support to the warehouse team in day-to-day tasks.
• Assists training sessions on warehouse processes, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Encourages safety culture by reinforcing all rules and guidelines.
• Identifies improvement areas and provides constructive feedback to the team.
• Coordinates daily warehouse activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy as an extension of leadership.
• Collaborates with Inventory team to help resolve inventory issues.
• Engages in leadership development programs to enhance supervisory skills.
• Leads daily safety and productivity meetings and communicates with management to ensure smooth workflow.
