Job summary

Gregory Packaging, Inc. in Newnan, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate forklifts, pull product for shipping, and ensure loads are accurate while following GWPs. This lead role also handles clerical duties in shipping/receiving, including managing schedules, entering orders, and tracking inventory.

you will train and mentor teammates and work closely with management to keep the warehouse running efficiently in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of truck loading and warehouse forklift driving experience required.
• Forklift experience for electric and propane forklifts.
• Intermediate computer skills, including email and software used to receive loads.
• Knowledge of trucking terms and procedures, such as detention, truck layouts, stacking protocols, tandems, reefers, dry vans, intermodal, over-the-road (OTR), and work-ins.
• Able to communicate issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, including email and required paperwork.
• Strong multitasking skills and a sense of urgency.
• Able to stay safe, accurate, and resilient in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric and propane forklifts to pull products, pick orders, stack cases, and build pallets for shipping and receiving.
• Load trucks correctly by item and loading pattern, ensuring product integrity and order accuracy.
• Follow safety policies and GWPs, and keep the work area clean.
• Respond to mechanical system fault notifications, troubleshoot equipment issues, and communicate with the right team member for quick resolution.
• Work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Organize, enter, and scan shipping and receiving documents accurately and on time.
• Manage receiving and shipping schedules, coordinate with coworkers, and alert management when schedules are not workable.
• Enter orders in company software, identify inventory discrepancies, and update the schedule.
• Prioritize carriers and customers based on appointment schedules and special accommodations.
• Answer phones while working on the computer to avoid dropped calls.
• Manage visitor access and building security, sign-in, and connect visitors with the appropriate manager.
• Train and mentor team members to ensure food safety and product quality standards.
• Motivate the team, pursue continuous improvement, and work with management.
