Warehouse Associate - Forklift Position - 3rd Shift / Newnan location The Warehouse Associate operates forklifts in and around the warehouse to pull product for shipping and receiving, making sure loads are correct in both items and loading patterns while protecting product integrity and order accuracy. The role follows safety policies and Good Warehousing Practices (GWPs) to keep a clean, safe work environment. In addition to floor work, this lead position handles clerical duties in the shipping and receiving office, including managing load schedules, entering orders, tracking inventory, and checking in visitors. The associate also trains and mentors team members and works closely with management to keep the warehouse running efficiently.

Warehouse Operations

Operate electric and propane forklifts to pull product, pick orders, stack cases, and build pallets for shipping and receiving. Load trucks correctly by item and loading pattern, ensuring product integrity and order accuracy. Follow safety policies and Good Warehousing Practices (GWPs), and keep the work area clean. Respond to mechanical system fault notifications, troubleshoot equipment issues, and communicate with the right team member so problems are resolved quickly. Work with a sense of urgency throughout the shift in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Shipping & Receiving Office

Organize, enter, and scan shipping and receiving documents accurately and on time. Manage receiving and shipping schedules, coordinate with coworkers to catch errors, and alert management when a schedule is not workable. Enter orders in company software, identify inventory discrepancies, and update the schedule throughout the shift. Prioritize carriers and customers based on appointment schedules and special accommodations. Answer phones while working on the computer so no calls are dropped. Manage visitor access and building security, making sure all visitors sign in and connecting them with the manager they are meeting.

Qualifications Education & Experience

2-3 years of truck loading and warehouse forklift driving experience required. Forklift experience for electric and propane forklifts.
