Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking an Assembly Lead to supervise the Assembly team, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of work in a dynamic warehouse setting.

You’ll train new associates, operate RF guns, and collaborate with other departments while upholding safety standards and leading by example in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to move small to large and heavy objects.
• Willingness to learn, objective in situations, and represent management.
• Team player prepared to work long hours and uphold safety rules.

Responsabilités

Here’s what you will be doing

• The primary function of the Assembly Lead is to oversee all of the Associates in assigned group, and make sure that work is completed in a timely fashion.
• This role is responsible for assigning tasks to the team, reporting problems to management, and fostering a positive environment within the department.
• Operate radio frequency (RF) gun
• Assign tasks to other Associates
• Partner with other departments in Assembly to complete work
• Work on special projects; support other leads and managers on projects and new procedures
• Report problems to management
• Train new associates
• Enforce safety rules
• All other duties as assigned

This is what you will need

• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to move small to large and heavy objects
• Willingness to learn
• Able to be objective in situations
• The ability to be a representative of management
• A team player and willing to work long hours
• Must be safety minded
