Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Shipping Equipment Operator to accurately pick products across the distribution center and stage them for loading, using a cherry picker and RF scanners.

You will load staged product, move items safely, and cooperate with teammates to meet daily goals. The role requires exposure to heights up to 40 ft and flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse.
• Experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
• Comfortable with heights up to 40 ft.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Strong communication and adherence to safety procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Job Title: Shipping Equipment Operator

Job Overview

The Shipping Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately picking product from the designated locations throughout the Distribution Center and staging the product at the proper loading areas. The operators utilize a cherry picker style lift and RF scanners in order to successfully complete their duties.

Other responsibilities include:

• Safely operate a Cherry Picker lift up to 40ft. in the air.
• Utilize RF scanners in order to identify and locate product.
• Load staged product from storage racks onto cherry picker lift.
• Move product from lift into proper location in the loading area.
• Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals.
• All other duties as assigned.

Starting hourly pay at $20.00 - $22.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

• Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
• Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions. Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90% Sitting: 5% Desk or phone work: 5% Physical Demands.
