Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture in New Jersey is seeking an Assembler to properly assemble products stored in the Mezzanine, including chairs, entertainment centers, desks, and tables. You will maintain a clean and safe work area, report issues to the Supervisor, and inspect returned assembled products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse setting.
• Prior assembly experience preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination and agility.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products stored in the Mezzanine such as chairs and tables.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report issues to Supervisor/Manager.
• Inspect and disposition returned assembled products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Assembler Job Overview

The primary function of the Assembler is to properly assemble product stored in the Mezzanine which includes chairs, entertainment centers, desks, tables, etc. Other responsibilities include: Maintain clean and safe work area. Report any issues (manufacturing or otherwise) to the Supervisor/Manager. Inspection and dispositioning of returned assembled product. All other duties as assigned.

Contract and Compensation

Starting hourly pay at $17.00 - $19.00/hour (Based on experience)

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities: $17.00 - $19.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere.
• Prior assembly experience preferred.
• Good hand eye coordination and Exceptional hand/arm agility
• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.

Physical Demands

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center. Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations. Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions. Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90% Sitting: 5% Desk or phone work: 5%
