Job summary

Nor-Am Cold Storage in Ohio is seeking a hands-on warehouse team lead to guide and motivate a group of employees, ensuring daily shipments go out on time in a cold environment. You will understand warehouse workflow, complete paperwork, and assist in inventory using the WMS, operating forklifts, performing dock tasks, and supporting end-of-shift reporting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of warehouse experience with forklift operation preferred.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.

• Handle start and end of shift tasks including cleaning and end-of-day productivity reporting.
• Ensure team is trained; assist in safety training and equipment certification.
• Some manual material handling, case picking and building pallets as needed by customers.

Job description

• Able to lead and motivate a group of employees. Will delegate tasks to team to stay ahead of daily shipments.
• Understands the warehouse workflow and can efficiently execute tasks.
• Complete necessary paperwork, is proficient in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and is able to assist in inventory management duties.
• Perform basic dock tasks such as scanning, wrapping pallets.
• Use material handling equipment to load and unload trailers.
• Perform start and end of shift tasks including sweeping and cleaning in the warehouse as well as end of day reporting on productivity.
• Ensures all operators on the team are properly trained for the task they are completing, assists in delivering monthly safety training, task specific training, and equipment certification for all team members.
• Some manual material handling, case picking and building pallets as required by customers.

Preferred Experience and Education

• 2 years of warehouse experience with forklift operation preferred.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Our warehouse is cold. You must be able to work in a wide range of temperatures from -20F to 80F. You must be able to walk or stand for the entire 8 hour shift and to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
