Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Warehouse Lead to help lead the warehouse team in packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management. You will support the Warehouse Supervisor and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

The role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse team and packing, shipping, receiving and inventory.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in running the warehouse.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Address shipping discrepancies with team members as needed.
• Assist with inventory counts.
• Order warehouse supplies when needed.
• Assist in selection, training, motivation and review of team members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the supervision of the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in running the warehouse

• Ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
• Assist with inventory counts
• Order warehouse supplies when needed
• Assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
