Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Warehouse Lead to manage daily warehouse operations in Lexington, KY. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, day shift, with no weekends, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

You will supervise a warehouse team, oversee packing, shipping, receiving and inventory, and help train and motivate staff while ensuring accuracy and timely deliveries. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee packing, shipping, receiving and inventory.
• Support and assist the Warehouse Supervisor in running the warehouse.
• Supervise and participate in preparation of items for shipping and receiving.
• Ensure shipments are accurate and in good condition; assist with inventory checks.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Address shipping discrepancies and coordinate with team.
• Assist with inventory counts and ordering warehouse supplies.
• Participate in training and development of team members.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Warehouse Lead.

This is a full-time position in Lexington, KY. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, day shift. No weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the warehouse team and effective operation of packing, shipping, receiving and inventory
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in running the warehouse
• Oversee and participate in the preparation of items for shipping, receiving, storing and inventory
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments, which includes lifting and carrying materials
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Review shipping discrepancies as needed and work to rectify problems with relevant team members
• Assist with inventory counts
• Order warehouse supplies when needed
• Assist in the selection, training, motivation and review of team members

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
