Job summary

Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a reliable Warehouse Lead to support daily logistics and warehouse operations. The role requires hands-on experience with sit-down forklifts, warehouse inventory systems, and shipping/receiving processes.

The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and capable of leading a fast-paced team while ensuring accurate inventory using MOB3 and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification required; 2 years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience with WMS or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Word/Excel; MS Office experience advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down forklift and move goods safely.
  • Read, understand, and complete work orders.
  • Load/unload goods at loading dock; coordinate with 3PL.
  • Maintain inventory using MOB3; perform cycle counts.
  • Provide leadership and training to warehouse staff.
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and SOP compliance.

Description

Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is seeking to add a reliable and skilled Warehouse Lead to support day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations. This role requires hands‑on experience with sit‑down forklifts, warehouse inventory systems, and a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and material handling processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and capable of providing leadership within a fast‑paced production environment.

Operation of a standard sit down forklift

Read and understands work order instructions

Complete work orders and other paperwork as needed

Load and unload goods from vehicles – loading dock and commercial experience preferred

Move goods and stacked pallets/crates throughout production, warehouse, shipping/receiving areas

Complete daily material builds (BOMs), staging packaging/bottling materials for production team

Secure customer shipments for rail, ocean, and over‑the road transport, properly arranging inventory and dunnage to secure load and balance weight

Ensure all items and deliveries into the warehouse have been properly received – physical inventory verifications and WMS system management.

Work with Logistics Manager and assisting in BOL creation and inbound scheduling as needed

Assist with 3PL communication and client shipping confirmations as needed .

Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance such as fueling, charging, and washing.

Maintain an organized, clean and safe working environment throughout all areas of the organization

Operate all material handling equipment provided by company

Accurately complete any necessary paperwork and reports any inventory discrepancies immediately

Maintain accurate inventory of all products using MOB3 tracking system

Assist in the management of warehouse and warehouse goals

Assist with review of goal progress, monitoring of results and instruction

Provide leadership and training to less skilled employees

Assist with oversite of Warehouse Associates to ensure accuracy with SOP’s and warehouse organization

Support other departments (Cellar, Production, ect . ) as needed and assigned by Management

Adhere to all safety practices and company policies

Other tasks, in any department, as assigned by Management

Requirements
  • Forklift Certification Required, 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience with WMS or inventory management systems preferred
  • Computer / IT proficient with Microsoft Office/360 workspaces; Word, Excel (preferred)
  • Comfortable with vendor, customer-facing communication – verbal and written.
  • Must be punctual and maintain good attendance
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast‑paced environment is required
  • Must be able to work nights, overtime and weekends
  • Ability to read, understand and complete work orders
  • Hours:Full Time (plus overtime)
  • Ability to work individually and within team to achieve daily production goals
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up-to 55 lbs. and work at catwalk heights of 25 feet
