Job summary

Openwork is seeking a Warehouse Lead in White, GA to drive daily distribution operations, oversee order fulfillment, and mentor a floor team in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role involves coordinating activities, maintaining inventory, leading temporary staff, enforcing safety, and reporting metrics to the Warehouse Manager. This hands-on leadership position requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Lead in White, GA. In this impactful and rewarding role, you will be responsible for spearheading daily distribution operations, driving order fulfillment excellence, and mentoring a collaborative floor team in a state-of-the-art facility.

In a Warehouse Lead job you’ll be responsible for:

• Coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling
• Assigning daily floor tasks, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring all orders are processed accurately to meet tight operational deadlines
• Maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying storage locations, and conducting regular cycle counts, physical audits, and discrepancy investigations
• Leading, monitoring, and supporting temporary labor and team associates to ensure peak productivity, quality standards, and adherence to company policies
• Enforcing warehouse safety procedures, inspecting equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks), maintaining 5S housekeeping, and reporting hazards promptly
• Providing daily operational updates and performance metrics directly to the Warehouse Manager

What you’ll need:

• Previous warehouse experience with a proven background in inventory control
• Active forklift certification and operating experience (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to lead temporary labor, delegate tasks effectively, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move materials as required by the position
• Strong communication, organizational, and operational problem-solving skills

• Schedule: Full-Time, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday (Day Shift, with occasional overtime opportunities)
