Job summary

SouthernCarlson is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Lead in Elkhart, IN, on a Monday–Friday first shift. You will coordinate daily operations, mentor staff, and drive results through accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems, RF scanners, and warehouse management processes.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability.
• Strong computer proficiency (Excel, reporting, tracking systems).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly and stand for most of the shift.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Coach, train, and direct team members to achieve accuracy and productivity goals.
• Monitor workflow, warehouse layout, and storage efficiency.
• Support safety compliance and ensure adherence to all company procedures and policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with management, purchasing, and transportation teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time deliveries.
• Assist with system implementation, process improvement, and special projects as needed.

What You’ll Do
