A leading company is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee operations within their Atlanta facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for order fulfillment, inventory management, and team leadership, ensuring that all warehouse tasks are carried out efficiently and accurately. JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Atlanta warehouse. This role is responsible for accurate order pulling, receiving, stocking, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, be comfortable operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Leadership experience is highly preferred, as this role is part of a long-term plan to build leadership depth within the warehouse team.
This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and collaborates closely with a team of warehouse associates, delivery drivers, and internal staff to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer and stock orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately pull customer, stock, and truck orders based on internal order requests.
Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy, and process inventory accordingly.
Restock and organize materials using proper warehouse procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventory.
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of shortages or overstock situations.
Assist with developing inventory best practices and maintaining product accuracy.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and participate in safety trainings.
Support team members with heavy lifting, staging, and loading/unloading duties.
Serve as a reliable team member, stepping in to support others as needed.
Set an example for quality and accuracy in daily warehouse tasks.
Offer informal leadership support and guidance to newer team members.
Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership regarding daily operations and needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–5 years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred; company can certify if needed).
Previous leadership or informal lead experience preferred.
Inventory or cycle count experience strongly desired.
Experience in HVAC or construction distribution a plus.
Ability to read pick tickets, packing slips, and follow detailed instructions.
Basic computer literacy; experience with inventory systems a plus.
Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
Dependable with strong attendance record.
High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Willingness to work collaboratively and take on a variety of tasks.
Clear verbal communication and ability to follow directions.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.
Must pass background check and meet company driving insurance requirements (if applicable).
Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Occasional overtime opportunities may be available.
