EMJ is seeking a Tube Laser Operator in Plainfield, IN to set up, operate, and maintain tube-laser machines. You will load materials, import part files, adjust settings, and inspect parts to meet specifications, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You should have 1–2 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain material handling certification. EMJ offers comprehensive benefits and a stable manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Select and verify raw materials using tape measures and calipers according to EMJ colorcodes.
• Load raw material using forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes.
• Import part files into the laser system from a remote drive using Windows-based applications.
• Set machine parameters, change lenses, nozzles, and filters, and perform basic maintenance.
• Adjust tech tables as necessary including laser focus, gas pressure, and power settings.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure they match print specifications.
• Read and interpret packaging instructions to properly package finished parts using manual or mechanical assistance.
• Transport packaged goods to staging areas using forklifts, side loaders, or overhead cranes.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and comply with all company safety protocols and procedures.

Job Summary

The Tube Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the tubelaser machine(s) in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions. This role includes selecting and loading raw materials, importing part files, adjustingmachine settings, and inspecting parts to ensure conformance to specifications. Operatorsare expected to have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints and useprecision measuring tools. Safety, quality, and efficiency are essential in this role.
