Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Laborer for B Robinson Inc, you play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing materials, and assisting with the preparation and fulfillment of orders. Your attention to detail, organization, and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall success of warehouse operations.
This is an Hourly Non-Exempt position that reports to the Director of Construction.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Responsible for turning in deliverables on a daily basis.
- Must set up and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
- Punctuality; arrive at work on time every day, limiting unexcused absences.
- Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
- Time management skills are crucial to ensure efficient use of working hours.
- Timely completion of required documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate technical information clearly.
- Manage time appropriately throughout the day, from clock in to clock out.
- Turning in fuel slips and truck/equipment walkthroughs weekly, fully completed.
- Maintain a clean workspace and clean shop/yard space.
- Possess the physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and performing manual labor.

- Identify and report potential safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Manage inventory in local and satellite warehouses and truck yards, including receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory systematically, perform regular counts, and address discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Safely load and unload materials using appropriate handling techniques and equipment.
- Label and mark packages for easy identification and storage.
- Track movement of materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Arrange materials and equipment following storage procedures.
- Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as necessary.
- Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, reporting malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols when operating equipment and performing maintenance.
- Ensure proper, timely submission of paperwork such as reports, timesheets, receipts, and fuel slips.
- Manage company vehicles and equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance and visual inspections.
- Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and organize them properly.
- Adhere to procedures for handling hazardous materials and report safety concerns or incidents.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, identify discrepancies, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to support project demands and team needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
