Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Inventory Supervisor for the distribution center in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. You will lead a team to perform cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure losses are minimized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of recent experience in a full-time inventory role
• 2 or more years in a supervisory role in a warehousing environment
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the performance of your team through effective training, coaching, and motivational strategies
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback to team members
• Drive a culture of belonging in a diverse workforce where all associates feel safe, valued, and included
• Implement strategies to ensure the highest quality of work, optimize warehouse inventory efficiency, and meet or exceed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Ensure safe operations and healthy environments for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors
• Verify inventory paperwork and accurately complete all necessary records and reports
• Ensure daily cycle counts are completed and help organize the annual audit
• Help maintain the security of the warehouse and assure the integrity of inventory
• Implement continuous improvement action plans and implementing loss prevention programs
• Be flexible to work overtime and perform other responsibilities as needed

In this role, you will lead a team and ensure that physical cycle counts are performed, accurate inventory levels are maintained, account for all defective or damaged products, and provide appropriate corrective action.
