Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for our Cranbury, New Jersey distribution center. You will lead a team, coordinate daily warehouse activities, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and accuracy in all operations.

The role requires 3+ years in a warehouse setting and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, with at least 1 year operating powered industrial trucks and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

In this role, you will lead a team and have general responsibility for coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.

Your typical shift will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customers.

• Supervise and develop the performance of your team through effective training, coaching, and motivational strategies

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback to team members
• Implement strategies to ensure the highest quality of work, optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity, and meet or exceed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
• Ensure safe operations and healthy environments for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors
• Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage, product is counted, and all necessary records and reports are completed accurately and on time
• Help maintain the security of the warehouse and assure the integrity of inventory
• Implement continuous improvement action plans
• Be flexible to work overtime and perform other responsibilities as needed

What we would like you to bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
• 2 or more years in a supervisory role
• At least 1 year of experience operating powered industrial trucks
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
