Job summary

Phoenix Metals Company is seeking a warehouse associate to support metals processing and distribution in our Fort Smith facility. You will handle inventory, loading/unloading, tagging, and documentation with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The role requires the ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, meet MVR criteria, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license and basic math skills are needed.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Valid Drivers License.
• Ability to meet MVR quality criteria under regulations and policy.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment may be required.
• Clear oral and written communication skills, legible handwriting.
• Adequate manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory or equipment and fill customer orders.
• Unload incoming material and load trucks or customer vehicles.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Tag material for identification and complete required documentation.
• Move material using forklift, side loader, or crane.
• Assist with local deliveries using motor vehicles (non-DOT).
• Spot check inventory and report irregularities to supervisor.
