Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to perform a variety of warehousing duties, verify materials, and prepare items for shipment. The role involves operating forklifts, maintaining inventory, and assisting CIF transactions for Soldiers, civilians, and units.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, knowledge of automated data systems, and two years of military clothing/equipment experience, with strong communication skills and CAC eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of automated data systems and automated data system input required.
• Two (2) years’ experience with knowledge of military Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result, obtain and maintain a CAC.
• Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Verifies materials against receiving documents and reports discrepancies.
• Routes materials to prescribed storage locations and maintains inventory.
• Operates forklifts and other hand or power trucks as needed.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to all Soldiers, civilians, and units conducting CIF transactions.
• Assist customers in resolving discrepancies with hand receipts, clothing records, and OCIE transactions.
• Ensure accountability and reconciliation between on-hand balances and system records.
