Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) seeks a Warehouse Specialist to perform a range of warehousing duties, verify materials, store, palletize, and prepare items for shipment. The role includes operating forklifts and maintaining accurate inventories in support of military CIF transactions.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, at least two years in OCE (Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment) or related field, and solid data-entry and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years’ experience with knowledge of military Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment.
• Working knowledge of automated data systems and data input.
• Proficient oral and written communication; ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
• Ability to receive CAC and REAL ID compliant driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Verifies materials against receiving documents and reports discrepancies.
• Routes materials to prescribed storage locations and maintains inventory.
• Operates hand or power trucks including forklifts as needed.
• Provides courteous customer service to Soldiers, civilians, and units during CIF transactions.
• Maintains accuracy in records and reconciles on-hand balances with system data.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
