Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, variance reconciliation, and root cause analysis. You will work with warehouse operations, supervisors, and planning teams to correct discrepancies and improve inventory integrity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred) with 2+ years of warehouse inventory or cycle counting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, picking, and shipping processes.
  • Experience using WMS and/or ERP systems to manage inventory and support audit or regulated environments.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and inventory accuracy KPIs.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform intermediate Excel analysis (pivot tables, lookups).
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including walking warehouse floors, lifting up to 40 lbs, and operating warehouse equipment as trained.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and document findings, trends, and corrective actions
  • Partner with warehouse operations to resolve receiving, put away, picking, packing, and shipping errors
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce future inventory inaccuracies
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports, metrics, audit trails, and support audits and physical inventories
  • Provide inventory accuracy feedback, training, and ensure compliance with internal inventory control procedures
