Job summary

Spire Inc. in Bessemer, Alabama is seeking a Storekeeper to receive, store, and issue materials from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard, while following safety guidelines and safe work habits.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a forklift and pallet jack, and become proficient in Oracle and barcode systems to track inventory and support multiple local divisions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Oracle is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle materials safely.
• Forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and complete required paperwork in receiving, issuing, and delivering parts and materials.
• Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, and supervisors regarding availability of parts and materials.
• Receive, unload, and distribute materials including pipe, fittings, meters, regulators and other materials.
• Enter data into Oracle and barcode applications to track inventory.
• Transfer and deliver materials to other local divisions.
• Read material requests and stock lockers and bins.
• All other duties as assigned.
