Job summary

Gunther Salt Company in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead safe, efficient warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving, shipping, freight coordination, dock control, product movement, and staging.

You will own inventory accuracy, plan with production and demand, partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service to meet goals, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in warehouse management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management systems, Business Warehouse.
• Strong commitment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong track record for execution and follow‑through when managing critical deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate at various levels internally and externally.
• Strong analytical skills with high level of organization, follow‑through, and accuracy.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory records and investigates and resolves variances.
• Develops and manages cycle-count processes and leads month-end and year-end counts.
• Coordinates receiving, storage, transfers, picking, staging and shipment of product.
• Plans and arranges ordering, receiving and freight coordination for third-party direct-ship and packaged orders with accounting.
• Monitors warehouse capacity, product placement, and inventory levels and improves flow and utilization.
• Develops and maintains SOPs and work instructions related to warehouse and inventory activities.
• Coordinates with Operations and Supply Chain on material availability and inbound schedules.
• Supports customer returns and manages product disposition when needed.
• Identifies process gaps, leads continuous-improvement efforts and directs warehouse personnel.
