Job summary

Byrne Electrical Specialists, Inc is seeking a warehouse associate to support material handling and production flow on site in Michigan. You will load/unload trucks, organize the warehouse, and ensure accurate receiving and labeling of raw materials for production lines.

The role requires operating a Hi-Lo forklift in compliance with OSHA/MIOSH rules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and using Syteline for receiving. A valid driver’s license and Hi-Lo certification within 6 months are required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.

• Enter packing slips into the ERP system (Syteline).

• Monitor min/max levels and assist with product transfers between plants.

Job Summary:

Enhance product workflow by organizing and maintaining warehouse conditions along with continuous product flow to individual lines.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:

• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintains organization of warehouse area.
• Receives, unpacks, checks, labels, and stores/organizes raw material for production.
• Operates HI-LO (per OSHA + MIOSH requirements license must be on person during working hours /and while operating a HILO), and hand truck equipment as necessary for unloading truck and transporting materials.
• Keep lines filled (goal is point-of-use storage).
• Organize and store all material in assigned areas.
• Enter packing slips into Syteline (receiving via computer).
• Maintains recycle and trash areas in dock area. Manage trash pick-up.
• Facilitates recyclable packing and returnable totes.
• Monitor and communicate needs for min/max system (cardboard, fittings, etc.).
• Collects, stores and keeps records of scraped material.
• Look for common sense solutions for reducing inventory costs and handling charges.
• Assists w/ product transfers between plants via company truck.
• Monitor and verify all tags on containers and barrels.
• Promote harmonious, productive working relationships w/ colleagues (internal customers) and vendors.
• Project positive company image thru proper dress (polo shirt and long pants) and high level of integrity during customer and vendor visits.
• May operate Byrne Van as needed (For Byrne employees only)
• All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Experience and General Skills Required:

• Ideal Candidate for this role has a great attitude, exceptional attendance, takes initiative and is organized, reliable, detail oriented, able to multi-task and work effectively in a team.
• Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external customers including Byrne customers, vendors, other employees and leadership.
• Good organizational skills with focus on accuracy.
• Understanding importance of count verification and location of all new material.
• Ability to adhere to FIFO system.
• Experience with root cause problem solving.
• Quick learner and independent decision maker.
• Continuous improvement orientated.

Technical Skills Preferred:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

Education Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Hi-Lo License must be obtained, within 6 months of transfer or employment, and maintained

Schedule:

• 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime would be during week or on Saturdays if needed)
