Position Summary:
Fikes is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Handler/ Day Porter / Janitor to join our team in Renton. This role plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and organization of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.

• Perform routine janitorial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitization.

• Respond to immediate cleaning needs such as spills or messes.

• Prepare and break down boxes, and assist with recycling efforts (wood pallets, cardboard, plastic, etc.).

• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

• Support general warehouse duties as needed.

• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of janitorial or warehouse experience required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.

• Familiarity with cleaning products and safe usage guidelines.

• Forklift experience is a plus; certification and training available for the right candidate.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday

  • Shift options: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

• Occasional flexibility required for special events or urgent cleaning needs.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
