Job summary

Veritiv in Alhambra, CA is seeking a General Helper to support production, shipping, and maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high-quality corrugated products across the facility.

You will assist with material handling, housekeeping, basic line setup, scrap handling, and documentation, while collaborating with a team in a non-climate-controlled warehouse. This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the production line.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or warehouse operations.
• Follow Safe Operating Procedures and Safety rules.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Supervisors, Machine Operators, and Machine Assistants as needed to support daily operations.
• Handle raw materials and finished goods, including loading, unloading, stacking, and palletizing.
• Support production by preparing work areas, cleaning equipment, and performing basic line setup.
• Assist with hand-stripping trim, bundling, and stacking corrugated sheets for next operations or shipment.
• Perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
• Move scrap corrugated material to designated areas and assist with baling operations.
• Maintain organized and safe workspaces in compliance with all company and safety standards.
• Complete basic documentation related to inventory, safety, or production activities.
• Cross-train with team members and demonstrate initiative to learn the next step in the line of progression.
