Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in Alhambra, CA is seeking a General Helper to provide essential support across production, shipping and maintenance. You will assist with material handling, housekeeping, line setup, and basic documentation while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient workspace.

You’ll work closely with supervisors and operators, lift up to 50–75 pounds, stand for long periods, and follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related job experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Supervisors, Machine Operators, and Machine Assistants to support daily operations.
• Handle raw materials and finished goods, including loading, unloading, stacking, and palletizing.
• Support production by preparing work areas, cleaning equipment, and performing basic line setup.
• Assist with hand-stripping trim, bundling, and stacking corrugated sheets for next operations or shipment.
• Perform janitorial and housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
• Move scrap corrugated material to designated areas and assist with baling operations.
• Maintain organized and safe workspaces in compliance with all company and safety standards.
• Complete basic documentation related to inventory, safety, or production activities.
