Job summary

Industrial Logistics Group is seeking a General Manager to oversee warehouse operations, safety, and profitability in Amarillo, TX. The role combines daily logistics leadership with business development, pricing support, and customer relations.

You will manage staff, monitor capacity and efficiency, coordinate maintenance, and drive initiatives to improve service levels, cost control, and revenue opportunities for ILG’s warehousing solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or related.
• Experience managing employees and daily operations.
• Knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer communication with prospective clients.
• Willingness to engage in sales and business development.
• Ability to present ILG capabilities to customers.
• Basic facility maintenance understanding and vendor management.
• Experience with WMS, Microsoft Office, and standard business software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Independent decision-making with appropriate escalation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and 3PL operations including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
• Manage staff and set expectations for productivity, accuracy, safety, and service.
• Ensure inventory handling and storage per customer requirements and ILG procedures.
• Monitor capacity, labor, equipment, and efficiency; coordinate staffing as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.
• Maintain proper documentation for warehouse activities.
