Job summary

Boxes 4 U, Inc. is seeking an experienced operations leader to own the Plano warehouse and eventually the Houston spoke. You will manage end-to-end warehousing processes, drive a NetSuite WMS rollout, and lead a team of 10–25 staff.

Your success will be measured by inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and on-time delivery. This is a build role focused on finishing ERP/WMS implementation and optimizing throughput.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse or operations management.

• Strong ERP/WMS and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead a full physical inventory count and establish cycle-count program.
• Complete NetSuite WMS rollout including barcode scanning and SOPs for receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping.
• Run same- and next-day B2B fulfillment; drive order accuracy.
• Hire, schedule, coach, and manage a 10–25 person team, including temporary labor.
• Plan labor based on daily volume and business needs.
• Own delivery dispatch, routing, and carrier/LTL costs.
• Manage warehouse space and overflow storage across two locations.
• Establish processes for handling short shipments and customer issues.
• Use KPIs to identify problems and drive continuous improvement.

About Boxes 4 U

Boxes 4 U is a fast growing packaging distributor with warehouses in Plano and other locations. Revenue has roughly doubled in the last year. We ship about 1,400 orders a month, most same or next day, largely on our own trucks. We are midway through a NetSuite ERP and warehouse management system (WMS) rollout and need an operations leader to finish it on the floor.

The Role

This is a build role, not a caretaker role. You will own the Plano warehouse and eventually, the Houston spoke, from end to end: receiving, inventory control, pick, pack and ship, delivery dispatch, labor planning, and completing the WMS rollout. You report directly to the President and will have the authority to hire, remove staff and change processes without weekly direction.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll be measured on three key operating metrics:

• Inventory accuracy: 97%+ on cycle counts and location audits
• Order accuracy: 99%+ within your first 21 days
• On-time delivery: 95%+ within your first 30 days

You’ll report these metrics weekly, and your performance bonus will be tied to them.

• Use operational data and KPIs to identify problems and continuously improve the operation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or operations management experience.
• Proven experience improving and measuring inventory accuracy.
• Experience leading a WMS implementation/go-live with barcode scanning; NetSuite WMS is a strong plus.
• Experience running high-volume, same- or next-day B2B fulfillment.
• Experience hiring, scheduling, coaching, and managing warehouse teams of roughly 10–25.
• Strong ERP, WMS, spreadsheet, and reporting skills.
• A track record of using data to manage performance and improve processes.

Strongly Preferred

• Multi-site warehouse experience and a cost-focused approach to space and storage.
• Fleet dispatch experience with approximately 20–50 stops per day.
• Driver routing and fleet management experience.
• Carrier and LTL cost management, including liftgate deliveries.
• Packaging, medical supply, cold-chain, or industrial distribution experience.
• NetSuite experience.
