Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Whitestown, IN is hiring Warehouse Associates on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role offers weekly pay and a path to a stable career in a clean, organized facility.

You will perform packing, loading/unloading, scanning, and material moves with pallet jacks, RF scanners, and stand-up or sit-down forklifts. First shift 6:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Thu with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts) and maintain equipment.
• May be required to operate manual or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to build professional relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with strong follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures and maintain security at shift end.
• Perform picking and packing duties and check for damage.
• Execute tasks per location policies and handle materials within transactions.
• Perform material moves with related transactions.
• Participate in team activities for self-improvement and operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
