Job summary

Ryder is hiring Warehouse Associates in Whitestown, Indiana on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Earn $18.24 per hour with overtime at $27.36 per hour, and get paid weekly.

Shift is 1st shift from 6:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with on-the-job paid training and safety gear provided. Join Ryder’s team handling electronic repair parts using RF scanners and pallet jacks in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) including maintenance and basic issues.
• Powered industrial truck certification required.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and ensure scanning is completed correctly.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and maintain facility security.
• Perform picking and packing duties and investigate scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions and participate in team activities to improve warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area and perform other duties as assigned.
