C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is hiring a Warehouse Selector for our Westfield, MA location. You will pick and prepare orders for delivery, using order sheets or an audio headset, while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role offers 24.00 per hour with a $2.00 freezer premium, potential for additional earnings after training, and night shift pay increases to 27.00. Full-time schedule with 7:00 PM start and 10–12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Picking items using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while following safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to move cases
• Applying selection labels to appropriate cases
• Wrapping products safely to prevent damage during transport
• Informing Supervisor of any quantity or description discrepancies
• Performing equipment inspections and completing the required forms
• Frequent lifting of varying case weights and heights
• Following all material handling equipment safety procedures

Job Description

Earn $24.00 per hour + $2.00 freezer premium = $26.00 with additional earning potential after training! ($1.00 additional pay on night shift $27.00 starting rate!

Full Time

Night Shift 7:00PM Start time 10-12 hour shift length

4 to 5 day work week (Sunday Required)

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

What's a great way to stay in shape?

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
