Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Pallet Sorter at our Westfield, MA location. You will empty return trailers, sort pallets, totes, and cardboard bales, and record data. Expect a starting rate of $22.00 per hour with freezer premium in a 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shift, Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities include unloading trailers, sorting items by destination, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Attendance, initiative, productivity, quality, safety and values are required.
• GD/GED or HS diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Sort pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination.
• Record data regarding amount and type of returned packaging.
• Unload returned trailer cargo holds and move pallets/totes.
• Sort and load packaging onto appropriate trucks by vendor.
• Maintain clean work area at end of shift.

As a Pallet Sorter, you will empty return trailers from store deliveries of empty pallets, totes, and cardboard bales.

Job Description

• Earn $20.00 per hour + $2.00 freezer premium ($22.00 start rate)

• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday

• Hours: 7:00AM to 5:30PM

• Frozen – about -20° - 0°

• Location: 61 Medeiros Way, Westfield MA 01089

You will contribute by:

• Sorting through returned packaging and move to proper place in warehouse

• Unloading returned trailer-truck's cargo hold of returned pallets, totes, and cardboard bales

• Sorting pallets, totes, and cardboard bales according to truck, color, and destination

• Recording data regarding amount and type of returned packaging

• Loading packaging onto appropriate trucks according to vendor

• Cleaning work area at the end of each shift

What’s a great way to stay in shape?

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
