Job summary

AREA TEMPS, INC. seeks an experienced warehouse associate to pick and prepare freezer and cooler orders while upholding sanitation and safety standards. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.

to 5 p.m., assembling orders from stock using pick lists, locating products, and staging items on pallets with proper labeling for agency name, ship date, and location. You will assist in inventory counts, maintain equipment and facility conditions, and participate in continuous improvement efforts

Responsibilities

• Assemble customer orders accurately, from stock, utilizing pick lists and product location.
• Convey materials and stage product on pallets with correct labeling (agency name, ship date, staging location).
• Arrange stock safely and orderly for easy downstream assembly and safe operations.
• Assist in inventory counting as requested by supervisor or management.
• Maintain job knowledge and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings.
• Uphold high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety; manage pallets and packaging in aisles, cooler, and freezer areas.
• Provide housekeeping for warehouse areas and pest control.
• Report repairs to equipment or facilities promptly to keep them in good working order.
• Remove dangerous conditions and assist in pulling orders as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, kaizen, 5S) or other process improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced individual to complete orders of freezer and cooler products while maintaining high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble customer orders accurately, from stock, utilizing assigned pick lists and Jet Reports, referring to product location, inner packing, description and quantity
• Convey materials and ensure the product is properly staged on a pallet and are properly marked indicating the agency name, ship date, and the correct staging location
• Once staging of product is complete, arrange stock in an orderly fashion so that assembly by other workers is convenient and efficient and not in a way compromising safety or quality
• Assist in inventory counting as requested or instructed by supervisor or other Management team member
• Maintain required job knowledge and skills and core professional competencies, including attending and participating in required educational programs and staff meetings
• Maintain high standards of warehouse sanitation and safety at all times and ensure that empty pallets and production packaging are removed from aisle ways, cooler and freezer
• Provide housekeeping services for the warehouse areas and other areas to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and pest control
• Immediately report to supervisor any repairs that are necessary or required on equipment or facility, ensuring that facility and equipment is properly maintained and is in good working condition
• Remove dangerous conditions prior to an accident or injury occurring and assist in pulling orders in main warehouse or pulling produce orders, as needed
• Actively support and champion initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement throughout the organization May participate in one of the following: LEAN council, a kaizen, 5S campaign or other process improvement efforts to support continuous improvement and improved processes within the food bank
