Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler in Elwood, IL to join a safety-focused distribution team. This role includes forklift operation, long-standing consistency, and the chance to grow within a respected logistics company.

Earn $23 per hour plus $1.50 shift pay, with weekly pay, paid training, benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). Weekends required on a Friday-Sunday schedule in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
