Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture in Shorewood, IL is seeking a Receiving Utility to accurately stock products across the Distribution Center using a cherry picker and RF scanners. You’ll load from dock, place items in proper locations, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, forklift and/or cherry picker experience, comfort with heights up to 40 ft, and flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere.
• Experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
• Comfortable with heights up to 40ft in the air.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Able to pass physical assessment with up to 250 lb push/pull requirements.
• Strong communication and ability to follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Put away product in designated locations throughout the Distribution Center.
• Operate cherry picker lift and RF scanners to complete duties.
• Safely operate a cherry picker lift up to 40 ft in the air.
• Identify and locate product using RF scanners.
• Load staged product from dock onto cherry picker lift.
• Move product into storage racks and support team goals.

Here’s what you will be doing

• The Receiving Utility is responsible for accurately putting away product in the designated locations throughout the Distribution Center.
• The operators utilize a cherry picker style lift and RF scanners in order to successfully complete their duties.
• Safely operate a Cherry Picker lift up to 40ft. in the air.
• Utilize RF scanners in order to identify and locate product.
• Load staged product from dock area onto cherry picker lift.
• Move product from lift into proper location on the storage racks.
• Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals.
• Contribute to a company culture that champions honesty, integrity, diversity, and community.
• All other duties as assigned.

This is what you will need

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere.
• Must have experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
• Comfortable with heights up to 40ft. in the air.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the department, which includes availability for weekends.
• Must be able to pass physical assessment with a push or pull requirement up to 250 lbs.
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
