Bob’s Discount Furniture is seeking a Receiving Equipment Operator to safely move product within our Distribution Center. The role uses a Cherry Picker lift to place items in designated storage locations and employs RF scanners to locate and identify inventory.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety practices, and a culture that values honesty and community. Typical duties include loading on the lift, moving product, and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Job Title Receiving Equipment Operator

Job Overview

The Receiving Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately putting away product in the designated locations throughout the Distribution Center. The operators utilize a cherry picker style lift and RF scanners in order to successfully complete their duties.

• Safely operate a Cherry Picker lift up to 40ft. in the air.
• Utilize RF scanners in order to identify and locate product.
• Load staged product from dock area onto cherry picker lift.
• Move product from lift into proper location on the storage racks.
• Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals

Compensation

Starting hourly pay at $20.00 - $22.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Must have experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
• Comfortable with heights up to 40ft. in the air.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the department, including availability for weekends as needed.
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
• Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s

Physical Demands

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center. Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations. Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions. Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90% Sitting: 5% Desk or phone work: 5%
