Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana is seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver to support production and distribution across retail and warehouse environments. The role operates forklifts and other powered equipment to move, locate, stack, and count products, while loading/unloading deliveries and supporting inventory accuracy.

The position emphasizes safe, organized, and efficient operations on the shop floor, dock, and distribution spaces.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift operator certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes including receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing and shipping.
• Strong teamwork and communications skills to support daily operations.
• Proficient math aptitude for counts, measurements and quantities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and safety-focused mindset.
• Safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards and SDS requirements.
• Good common-sense reasoning to follow written and spoken instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload inbound shipments and transport products to storage areas; stack and store merchandise.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate, properly documented, and damage-free; report variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment with correct quantities and types.
• Perform order picking and staging to meet operational standards.
• Move products between staging, storage, outlets, and trailers using powered equipment.
• Load and unload materials with safe weight distribution; prevent damage.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, double stackers and related equipment safely.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and document safety checks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock rotation.
• Keep warehouse, dock and outlet spaces clean, organized and secure.
