Job summary

Goodwill Legacy Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a full-time Forklift Driver to support production and distribution. This role operates a forklift and other powered equipment to move, stack, and count products, unload deliveries, and support inventory accuracy across retail outlets, warehouse storage, and distribution spaces.

Candidates should hold a forklift operator certification or be able to obtain one, with a focus on safety, accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Current forklift operator certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure continuous efficient warehousing operations.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Solid math skills for quantities, rates, and inventories.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining safety.
• Awareness of safety standards and procedures (OSHA).
• Basic IT familiarity for inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to storage areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely.
• Load and unload materials with correct weight distribution.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and document safety checks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and leadership to support daily operations.
