Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fulfillment center in Northlake, Illinois. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, store, and stage grocery products, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with inventory counts, support order picking, perform pre-operational checks, wear PPE, and communicate with supervisors to coordinate workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift operator certification required or able to obtain.
• Minimum of 1 year forklift experience in a warehouse.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand, bend, and stoop as needed.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with WMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move and stack products within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading/unloading, pallet movement, and storage organization.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy through proper recording.
• Pick and stage products for shipment following procedures and safety rules.
• Perform pre-operational checks and report maintenance needs.
• Communicate with supervisors to coordinate workflow and priorities.
