Job summary

Misfits Market is hiring a Forklift Operator for our fulfillment center. You will safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move groceries, load/unload trucks, and prepare orders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strict safety adherence, experience with forklifts, and ability to work a Saturday-Tuesday shift from 4 am to 2:30 pm, with an $18/hr rate and refrigerated surroundings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass internal forklift operator certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport groceries within the warehouse, including loading/unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stacking products.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate tracking of movements.
• Collaborate with warehouse teammates to fulfill orders by picking and staging products for shipment.
• Follow all safety protocols for forklift operation, conduct pre-operational checks, wear PPE, and report hazards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment and report needs to maintenance personnel.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address issues.
