Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Indianapolis, IN on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The role offers weekly pay and a clear path to permanency, with 1st shift hours 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday.

You will operate stand-up reach and other forklifts, handling sealed powder coating paint and supporting a fast-paced distribution environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year warehouse or PIC truck experience, and a valid forklift license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklift and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Audit, tote induction, staging and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Support the automated packing system and routine maintenance during shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
