Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The role offers weekly pay and a stable path to full-time employment, with shifts from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, on 1st shift. You will operate stand-up reach trucks and other equipment to handle sealed powder coating paint, perform picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counts, and contribute to a safety-forward warehouse environment with on-the-job training and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving.
• Maintain accuracy in packing, auditing, and loading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork like picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
