Starting Pay: $16.50/ hr

Monday - Friday; 5:00am - 2:00pm

Forklift Operator - Warehouse

Complete the shipment of the daily shipping schedule in the best timely manner possible. Complete the shipment of the daily shipping schedule in the best timely manner possible. This is accomplished by continually being task driven for completion. Need to be able to work independently to problem solve and ensure product is moved safely and timely to needed positions. Utilize tools provided for material movement and ensure inventory guidelines are followed. Work as part of the team to ensure timeliness of duties are completed and materials are provided to needed job processes.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in manufacturing and production is preferred, 5 years of experience
  • Warehousing experience preferred but not required.
  • Essential Functions:

  • Managing Deliveries.
  • Posting daily deliveries by printing a shipper for contractors to deliver.
  • Maintain Returned Shippers by scanning to Accounts Payable & File
  • Assist with handling Customer Requests. Level of involvement will vary but will allow need to make sure transportation is arranged and communicated.
  • Help guide PDI, Forklift Driver, and Drivers in right direction
  • Competencies:

  • Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals;
  • Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English);
  • Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to measurements, directions, instructions, etc.;
  • Must possess successful problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
  • Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  • Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.
  • Supervisory Responsibility:

    This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time hourly position.

    Travel:

    No travel is expected for this position.
