Join to apply for the 2nd Shift Forklift Operator role at Great Southern Wood Preserving.

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine, is seeking forklift operators. This full-time position offers competitive pay and a full benefits package. Hours are 2nd Shift, 3 P.M. to 11 P.M.

Summary

Drives industrial forklift trucks to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive the truck and control the movement of the lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports loads to designated areas.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Inventories materials on the work floor and supplies workers with materials as needed.
• Keeps records of inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have previous forklift experience.
• Lumber experience is a plus.
